Performance Manager

Alley, an award-winning digital marketing agency with operations in Australia and USA, is growing fast and looking for a passionate, high-performing performance marketing leader to lead the acceleration for our e-commerce clients.

Reporting to the Head of Performance, the Performance Manager integrates directly into our clients’ operations and leads a team of performance specialists ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest performance possible. While managing the client relationship, they will drive paid media strategy with cross-channel integration and strategic activation of channels such as (but not limited to) SEM, Social, Display, Video, and Programmatic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acting as part of your client’s team, interpreting their goals and pain points, understanding brand guidelines and strategic initiatives
  • Participate in mentorship and training programs to build skills that further your career development
  • Develop integrated marketing engagement programs that support new business development opportunities (acquisition) as well as engage existing clients to build client loyalty (retention)
  • Monitor account profitability and ensure accurate billing and forecasting to ensure the financial health of accounts
  • Setting and communicating expectations, scheduling and organizing resources, managing deliverables, and meeting deadlines
  • Analysis of web and campaign analytics to undercover key learnings and insights to construct actionable performance recommendations
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Specialist Teams to determine and drive alignment on client KPIs, streamline reporting, campaign operations & data feeds as learnings dictate.
  • Develop data-driven and research-based testing experiments that will assist in uncovering learnings to feed back into the campaign and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies between all teams and evolve internal processes to enable dynamic and agile delivery of campaigns
  • Manage reporting and analytic requirements along with reporting cadence – working closely with Analytics to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly insight presentations
  • Coordinate and oversee capability, capacity, and resource planning

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 1+ year work experience in the digital marketing space with proficient knowledge across multiple digital marketing tactics
  • Experience owning B2C acquisition metrics: leads, conversion rate, sales, CAC and ROAS
  • Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a client-centric environment
  • Ability to nurture and retain client relationships & understand how performance can feed into wider business goals
  • Experience working with financial data and budgets
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other agency capabilities to meet common goals
  • Experience of collaborating with senior-level stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Proficient knowledge of working across multiple Performance channels, eg. Paid Search, Paid Social, Mobile, and Programmatic
  • Ability to analyze and present diverse sets of campaign data (Google Analytics or other analytics software)
